Your data, treated with care
Privacy Policy
Effective August 22, 2026
Emmazing Games (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Daily Ember mobile application and this website. This policy explains what information Daily Ember handles, why it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Account and profile information
If you create an account, we process your email address or Sign in with Apple account identifier, authentication records, display name, generated initials, time zone, and privacy preferences. You may use core devotional features as a guest without creating an account; guest data remains on that device unless you choose to upgrade and sync it.
Devotional content and activity
When signed in, Daily Ember stores the practices you complete, their dates and timestamps, streak and grace status, and journal entries you choose to save. Journal entries are private account content and are never included in friend summaries or notification messages.
Friends and safety
If you use social features, we process hashed invite tokens, accepted friendships, blocks, fixed-category reports, sharing preferences, and fixed encouragement reactions. Accepted friends can see your display name and initials. They can see your streak and lamp stage only if you turn on streak sharing.
Device and technical information
If you permit notifications, we store an Apple Push Notification service device token linked to your account so encouragement alerts can reach that installation. Our hosting and authentication providers may process network information such as IP address, request timing, and diagnostic logs for security, reliability, and fraud prevention.
How we use information
- Provide authentication, cloud synchronization, guest migration, streaks, grace, and lamp progression.
- Provide private friendships, encouragements, blocking, reporting, and optional notifications.
- Protect accounts, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and maintain service reliability.
- Respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests.
We do not use Daily Ember data for advertising, cross-app tracking, data brokerage, or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. Information is disclosed only as needed to operate Daily Ember:
- Supabase provides authentication, database, and server-function infrastructure.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple, app distribution, and optional push notifications.
- Resend delivers transactional authentication emails.
- Netlify hosts this public website and may process ordinary web request logs.
- Cloudflare provides domain-name services and forwards mail sent to our public support address.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention and deletion
We retain account data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Device tokens may be disabled when Apple reports that they are invalid. You can delete your account inside Daily Ember under Account Settings. Deletion removes your authentication identity, profile, preferences, synced devotional activity, journals, streak state, friendships, invites, blocks, encouragements, reports, device tokens, and notification delivery records from active systems, subject to short-lived backups, security logs, or retention required by law. Guest data can be removed by deleting the app or its local data.
Your choices
- Use core features without an account.
- Keep streak sharing off, which is the default.
- Disable encouragement notifications in Daily Ember or iOS Settings.
- Remove friends or block and report another user.
- Request in-app account deletion.
- Contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, or another applicable privacy right.
Security and international processing
We use access controls, row-level database security, encrypted network connections, private server credentials, and data-minimizing interfaces. No security method is perfect. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate, with protections appropriate to the service and applicable law.
Children
Daily Ember is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Daily Ember evolves. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to support@dailyemberapp.com.
